The Federal Government’s Center for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) has released quality measures for nursing homes.

It is expected that these quality measures will become another piece of information that is helpful to family members and others making decisions about choosing a nursing home.

The usefulness of the data is somewhat limited, but these measures do provide us with an opportunity to measure our performance against state and national data. Most importantly, nothing replaces a personal visit to the nursing home. I urge you to visit the Health Center at a date and time that is convenient for you.
